Double Bath

The twins had their first bath on Monday, which was their last full day in the hospital. They will come home today, Tuesday, in the afternoon.

Their bath experience was unique. Here they are in the tub. They are wrapped in blankets and placed in the tub of water. The blankets not only keep them warm, but they help with the shock of being placed in water for the first time. Their bath was a very pleasant experience for them and they never cried. Pam would just pull back the blanket off the area she needed to wash and then lay it back over each one. There was also a heat lamp overhead, which was fairly warm for Pam, but comfortable for the babies.

Now their bath is complete. You can see that the blankets are soaked, but they are comfy and warm--and clean.
Phoebe is on the left and Pfischer is on the right trying to get his thumb in his mouth.

Sound asleep on the boppy, with their bellies full.
The boppy was specially designed for ease in nursing.
This is a double boppy, for nursing twins.
One baby can lay there asleep while mommy burps the other.

These precious gifts get to come home this afternoon and meet their siblings: Lily, Abby, and Ricky.
We are so thankful to Heavenly Father for the blessing of their healthy bodies and the progression and development that they have achieved and pray for His continued blessings as they go home.
